My love for sports began too long ago for me to pinpoint. Basketball and football made my childhood absolutely incredible. Being a Spurs fan during the end of the Timmy era and a Patriots fan during the dynasty, I was blessed. I loved the Longhorns as well, but they were only okay during that time. It didn't matter to me, though; I got enough winning from my other favorite teams.
During the 2014 NBA season, I was 10. I was obsessed with Danny Green. I met him twice during his Spurs tenure. I vividly remember that Finals run. My family took a trip to an RV park in Port Aransas, so during the day, we were out at the beach; then we would come home and watch the Spurs beat the brakes off the Heat. So far, in my 22 years of living, I have yet to feel that high again.
In 1st grade, I met one of my lifelong best friends, Matthew. I would believe anything he told me. He was a Patriots fan, so I was too. I became obsessed. My bed sheets had Tom Brady's face on them. I was so influenced by him that I started referring to myself as "The GOAT."
